      As AICTE acts as an aggregator and not the primary content creator, the responsibility for the content lies with the respective companies.

      2. NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning)

      The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a collaborative effort between the IITs, IISc, and MHRD, aiming to provide online courses and certifications in a range of engineering and science fields.

      These disciplines include Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, and more. I encourage you to explore their offerings. NPTEL also accredits these courses and provides job placement opportunities to its participants.

      3. e-PG Pathshala

      The Indian Government has introduced a new program called e-PG Pathshala, which provides free online courses with certificates in India. These courses are designed to assist students, professionals, and lifelong learners in acquiring new skills and knowledge across various subjects.

      This initiative is a part of the Government’s Digital India campaign, which aims to empower Indian society digitally. The courses are offered in both English and Hindi, and there are no prerequisites for enrollment.

      Among the highly sought-after courses at IIM Bangalore is the Executive Development Programme (EDP). This two-year course is available to all Indian citizens aiming to enhance their managerial skills.

      The EDP covers diverse subjects including marketing, finance, human resources, and operations management. Participants who successfully complete the EDP will be awarded a certificate from IIM Bangalore.

      5. NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research)

      The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) has collaborated with several international platforms, including Coursera, to provide free online courses with certificates.

      These courses are accredited by the Distance Education Council (DEC). At present, the NITTTR Study Centre offers more than 30 available courses. What’s particularly advantageous is that you can successfully finish a course and receive a diploma.

      6. UGC (University Grants Commission)

      The SWAYAM platform is an initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It provides UGC’s course material in PDF format along with explanatory lecture videos presented by industry leaders. While not all courses on the portal offer a certificate, they serve as valuable resources for undergraduate and postgraduate students from various fields.

      On the other hand, certain courses like Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity do provide a certificate. The UGC MOOCs portal is a component of the SWAYAM initiative established by the MHRD.

      7. NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training)

      The primary goals of NCERT and its constituent units encompass conducting, promoting, and coordinating research in areas pertaining to school education. They are responsible for creating and publishing model textbooks, supplementary materials, newsletters, journals, and educational resources such as kits, multimedia, and digital materials.

      NCERT also organizes training programs for both prospective and current teachers, as well as develops and disseminates innovative educational techniques and practices.

      Furthermore, NCERT engages in collaborations and establishes networks with state educational departments, universities, NGOs, and other educational institutions. It serves as a hub for exchanging ideas and information concerning school education matters.
